ALL About Golf
(Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia)
This part of Genre's Kids With Cancer Fund was Genre's second idea. After he was diagnosed, Genre
had to quit playing baseball, basketball and swimming for the Aqua Club. Instead of complaining
or getting mad, Genre decided that even 'cancer kids' (as he refers to himself and his new freinds)
can play golf. He told his dad and I that 'even when you are really tired, you can enjoy putting.' Genre
decided that he wanted to find a way for his 'cancer kids' to get free golf lessons. The idea has
caught on. Many golf facilities and golf instructors in the greater Pgh. area have partnered with
GKWCF to provide several free golf lessons for your child. The only requirement is that the child be an
oncology patient at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
