This will link you to the original Genre’s Kids with Cancer Fund Website.  I spent most of the nights at the hospital when Genre was the sickest making this site. I don’t think I’m good at it or anything, it just came from a mom’s desperate heart. I desperately wanted to take him outside to get some fresh air. I wanted the sunshine to hit his pale face and the sun to work some magic on his bones and muscles.  The sunshine, clouds and window look to this site, was a feel that I needed. I wished I had a bright window to look out, but we didn’t.

As our organization and our fund grew, we realized we needed a website that could be read by people on their smartphones, by sponsors, and would allow us to spread the word about the services we provide. But, as much as I like it, I just want you know what’s in my heart, as a mom of a child with cancer.

We decided to keep the original site up for you, as you first learn about Genre’s Kids with Cancer Fund, as you are sitting in the hospital room.  I want you to look at this website as a bright moment in your day. You may feel trapped inside four walls of your sick child’s room, unable to escape and desperate to just go to the park!  I know this site isn’t as professional as the new one, I know.. but we want you to know how much you matter to us. We care about you. God has provided us with everything we have needed. With this website made by a mom in a hospital room, we haven’t had to worry about money or corporate sponsorships – and we have been able to help over 100 children and families! 

Genre’s Kids with Cancer Fund was formed to be able to help families and children living through childhood cancer.  Please read through the site, knowing that YOU are in our thoughts and prayers.
