2012 Pittsburgh Marathon

Join "Genre's Kids" team while participating in the Marathon, Half Marathon, Five Person Relay, 5K and Kids Marathon to help raise money for families living through childhood cancer.

Many expenses associated with pediatric cancer are not medical. The burden on an entire family can be devastating, and it is our deepest desire to help in any way we can.

What can you do?

How does our program work?

1. As a member of the Genre's Kids Marathon Team, you are required to meet the minimum fundraising requirement for your event by Saturday, May 5, 2012.

  $50.00 Fundraising Minimum - Kids Marathon (May 5, 2012)

$100.00 Fundraising Minimum - 5K (May 5, 2012)

$300.00 Fundraising Minimum - Half Marathon (May 6, 2012)

$500.00 Fundraising Minimum - Full Marathon (May 6, 2012)

$750.00  Fundraising Minimum - Relay, 2-5 people (May 6, 2012)

2. Complete and return the registration form. Genre's Kids with Cancer Fund will register you for the Pittsburgh Marathon and we will pay for your entry fee once you raise 50% of your goal. We ask that you meet this goal by March 1, 2012.

You must provide credit card information. In the event that you are not able to raise the minimum fundraising amount by  May 5th, 2012,  the remaining fundraising balance will be charged to your credit card.

3. You can personalize your own fundraising page through activegiving.com. Go to www.active.com/donate/genreskids. Click on "Become a Fundraiser".You will be asked to log in or create an account. You will be able to send emails to your friends, family and co-workers to collect donations.

4. Continue to fundraise and see your total fundraising amount increase until May 5, 2012!

5. Meet us at Charity Village on May 6, 2012, once you have finished your race.

6. Celebrate - knowing that you raised money to meet the needs of kids with cancer!

• The top fundraiser of "Genre's Kids" Run for a Reason team will win a Microsoft XBox Kinect.
• Top three overall fundraisers will each receive (1) VIP Runner Package to use on Race Day, May 6, 2012.
• Each team member will receive a "Genre's Kids" Team tech shirt, and complimentary registration to our 2012 Footsteps in Faith 5K Race on August 18, 2012.
